Summary: The view from the balcony of this property is stunning, and we enjoyed our evenings overlooking the town. There were one or two things that weren't quite what we would have hoped and that potential bookers should be aware of. The biggest one for us was the pool. The description was of a communal pool, which we took to mean a shared pool that belonged to the apartment and others. The pool is actually a public pool which is halfway down the very steep hill to the town. The first two times we went it was closed, and when we did finally get in, we found it to be dirty (the pool and the sunbeds) and the toilets and showers didn't work. The bar didn't appear to be open. We didn't return. Luckily the beach in the town is lovely, and the sea is beautiful. It's also worth knowing that the property does not provide either towels or bedding. We have done this type of holiday for over 20 years and this is the first time we have needed to bring our own bedding. The town itself was great for a family with teenagers as we have - plenty of places to eat and drink and some lovely shops in the castle area. Be aware though, that it is a very steep 30 minute walk down (and back up!) which, for us, in July, was just too hot to do very often so we did end up using the car more than we expected. The kitchen had everything we needed. The shower room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. Aircon was in the corridor not the bedrooms, but with doors open it was effective at night.
