Summary: It was upsetting, as there was no warning before booking that the hotel was undergoing a renovation. The construction work included the first floor lobby area, which became a major nuisance in many ways. The entire building is being redone, so that's something to look forward to, but I think it's something that should be made clear before people make reservations. The staff was very friendly and professional, though, and that was a big plus and maybe a sign of better conditions ahead.
